The 2024 Escape Room Championship (ER Champ) wrapped up on November 25th in Prague, and HALO HALO sponsored the victorious team, 6 Keys from the US. This competition brought together the best escape room teams from across the globe.
What are Escape Rooms?
Escape rooms are immersive, team-based puzzle experiences where players solve a series of interconnected challenges to "escape" from a themed room within a set time limit. Each room is designed with a unique narrative and set of tasks, combining logic, creativity, and collaboration to uncover hidden clues, crack codes, and complete the mission. They’ve become a global phenomenon, enjoyed by casual players and competitive enthusiasts alike.
What is the ER Champ?
The Escape Room Championship (ER Champ) is an annual global competition organized by Lock Me, where the best puzzle-solving teams from around the world compete for the title of escape room champions. Teams qualify by participating in two rigorous online qualifying rounds, which feature virtual escape room challenges designed to test their problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. In 2024, 658 teams from 37 countries competed in the qualifiers, with the top 10 teams advancing to the live finale in Prague.

Team 6 Keys from the USA claimed the championship title! Their performance showcased incredible teamwork and problem-solving skills, and they were the only team to escape both rooms within the time limit.
The final competition consisted of two intricate escape rooms designed to push teams to their limits. Team 6 Keys impressed the judges with their ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and divide tasks strategically. Their innovative approach to solving a particularly challenging cipher in the second room earned them critical time, setting them apart from the other finalists. Combined with their flawless completion of the first room, they secured their victory as the only team to escape both rooms successfully.
